Diet Police: Discover 3 Surefire Ways To End Boredom Eating

Stop robbing yourself of those gains you've accomplished. Stop adding on those late night calories after you've been so dedicated to your diet all day long!

- In this article I am going to uncover 3 surefire ways to stopping boredom eating, this way you can keep those gains and stay true to your diet.

1. Build A List Of Alternatives:

I'm pretty sure boredom doesn't mean the same as being hungry so don't couple it with food. Instead replace that empty lot of time with something to do. I'm big on being ready, so I have my clients write out a list of alternatives before hand. (Not only make a list of random things to do, yet be specific with your list).

For example:

- If you get bored at work and tend to eat, then you should create a list of alternatives that would work for you at work. You could help a stressed out co-worker, or maybe read a good book if your allowed, or use this time to dream and imagine getting something you always wanted. (Remember what you focus on becomes a reality in some shape or form).

- If you're home, you could catch up on some house chores, take a hot bathe, watch a good movie (I always have a good movie to watch because I'm always searching through the TV guide to record new shows), listen to music, etc...

2. Set Diet Goals And Use A Journal:

There is something special about having a journal and writing things down. I've been using journal for five years now when programming for my goals and in that time I've been sharper, more disciplined, and more successful than I've ever been. Setting diet goals weekly or long term and tracking results in your journal keep you in tune with what you want and sometimes that's enough to keep you from eating while being bored.

3. Give Your Mouth A Makeover:

This is an old trick I used to use when I wanted to be around 5% body fat. Urges, cravings, and anything pushing you to eat can be stopped if you work on your mouth. Every time I got bored and looked to eat I would brush my teeth. (No one likes food after the brush their teeth).

Bonus: Give In To Your Urges

If you're going to give in to those boredom urges, then eat healthy snacks like an apple or some carrots...
