5 Quick and Easy Ways to Lose Belly Fat Fast

Looking to lose belly fat fast? You aren't the only one. In fact, many people complain that becoming thinner takes too long or that too much effort is required. Removing fat around the abdominal region can be rather difficult, particularly if you don't have a plan in place.

So how can one achieve a reduction in belly fat quickly? Here are five ways that you can utilize today to help shed the excess bulge:

1. Drink Plenty of Water

Lack of fluids is commonly mistaken for hunger by many people. In addition to this, lack of water can cause the body to retain fluids, reducing various processes like metabolism. By ensuring that you drink plenty of water (8 glasses a day is recommended by many experts), you can stimulate the kidneys to release excess water and flush your system.

2. Cardiovascular Exercises

The word most people hate: cardio. Despite the effort required, cardio exercises are regarded as the most effective methods for burning fat around the abdominal region. By increasing your heart rate, more energy is required to be burned and less fat forms due to excess energy. Cardio exercise can include exercises such as skipping, running/jogging or swimming. Basically, anything that gets the heart pumping! At a minimum, 30 minutes of exercise is required and should be carried out 5-7 days a week.

3. Abdominal Exercises

Obviously if you want to reduce your waist line, targeting the area is important. When combined with a well-rounded cardio exercise plan, burning fat can increase significantly. Exercises such as crunches, sit-ups, leg raises and Pilates can help target the abdominal area.

4. Diet

Many people that have fat accumulating around their waist have poor eating habits and a lower fiber diet. Exercise can help to some extent but following a specific diet plan is essential for burning fat. Counting calories is one thing, but taking note of what you eat is more important. A healthy diet will consist of lots of vegetables and fruit along with lean meats and nuts. Many vegetables and fruits have a positive impact on weight loss and actually assist in burning fat.

5. Reduce Stress

Believe it or not, stress levels can have a huge impact on weight gain and loss. When stressed, many people turn their attention to high sugar foods such as chocolate and ice cream. In addition to this, the body releases a hormone called cortisol when stressed which increases appetite. Try and spend 30 minutes a day in a quiet place with just your thoughts, or if you decide to go for a run, try not to listen to music and just relax.

Losing weight is not easy. Many people struggle to do it but it can be done with the right advice.
